A deeply and intensely coloured wine.  In the mouth, highly concentrated with well-marked but velvety tannins.  Attractive aromatic expression of spices (pepper) and well-ripened cherry.

Terroir: Southeast-facing slope at 5% grade, 230-meters elevation, granite soil rich in manganese
Viticulture: Organic (not certified)
Vinification: 12 days whole-cluster carbonic maceration in wood tank, two pump-overs daily. Aged for 12 months in barrel (10% new), racked to stainless steel tanks for 6 months blending.

The vineyards are planted at a density of 11,000 vines per hectare and the rows are plowed frequently by horse.

Harvest is carried out by hand and the average yield is 45 hL/ha, with the use of a sorting table upon arrival to the cellar.
