Wine Information
Size: 0.38 ha (0.94 ac)
Variety: Pinot Noir
Vine Age: Planted in 1966
Terroir: North of Richebourg and Romanée St. Vivant, vines planted following the slight slope. Soil at the top of the slope is rocker and well-draining, lower down soil is richer, with more clay and (they suspect) an underground stream
Viticulture: Lutte raisonnée
Vinification: De-stemmed, indigenous yeast fermentation. Aged for 15-18 months in barrel (maximum 50% new oak).
At the bottom of this slope lies the Vosne cemetery. Historically, the villagers would say "gone to the Suchots" as slang for having passed away.
