Pierre Damoy Marsannay Les Longeroies

Pierre Damoy Marsannay Les Longeroies

Wine Information
This is the most northerly appellation of the Côte d’Or, nearly reaching Dijon, and it encompasses three villages. Pierre Damoy purchases fruit from this vineyard and, as the site is vulnerable to hail damage, his choice of winemaking techniques varies according to the local vintage conditions. Starting with the 2013 vintage, he has added grapes from Marsannay La Bertinière, which lies on the southern side, closer to Fixin.

Dark, rich and explosive on the palate; saturated black-cherry aromas and flavors, with notes of tar, licorice and smoky oak.

Nice color. Impressive nose of black cherry jam, very pleasant. Mouth well made, lots of tannins, but quality flavor. Good length, it ends with a grain of tannin impressive for the appellation. Very long.
