Age of Vines : over 50 years 
Surface : approx. 0.20 ha (0.50 acre) 
Soil: Clay and limestone. Facing East. Very steep slope (40 to 50%)
Altitude : 250 metres (820ft) 
Vinification & Ageing : Hand-picked grapes, whole berries pressing, 100% vinified and aged in oak barrel (of 228 liters each) for 11 months.

 
Geographically opposite to our Saint-Véran « En Combe » compared to the Pouilly-Fuissé area (see Map of Bret Brothers), this terroir « La Côte Rôtie » lies at the foot of the Roche de Vergisson, around the village of Davayé. Its name comes from its very steep slope (over 40%) facing full South. The soil is calcarous but, as one may guess, it is a very solar wine, both rich and fruity. 2007 is once more an explosive wine!
