Vine Age: Planted in 1951, 1955 and 1958.
Terroir: Located near the border with Vosne, kitty corner to Richemone and slightly lower on the slope. Sandy, stony soils, with slightly more clay than Richemone.
Viticulture: Biodynamic methods
Vinification: 50-60% whole cluster, ambient yeast, usually no sulfur added at vinification. Aged in oak barrels (about 40% new), duration depends on frequent tastings and observation.
With the 2017 vintage, Pascal Mugneret decided to separate his Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Boudots bottling into its two unique, individual lieux-dits: Les Cras and La Richemone.
