This Evangelho Zinfandel is sourced from ancient vines in Contra Costa County. This wine is a blend of Zinfandel (84%), Petite Sirah (13%), and Mataro (3%). Vibrant in color the wine is bright on the palate with blue fruit flavors, ripe peach (yes peach), violets, supple tannins, and perfect acidity. The wine shows staggering ancient vine concentration with a briary density, and silken chewiness with a velour-like texture.
