Domaine des Cassagnoles Gros Manseng
Wine Information
The Gros Manseng produces fleshier, more ample wines with fruity apricot and pear aromas. It is a lively wine, but not to excess, with a persistent final. It may be kept for several years and should be drunk chilled, at a temperature of 10/12°. " Gros Manseng Sélection " is a dry wine, and the perfect accompaniment to cooked fish. "Gros Manseng Medium" is a semi-dry wine that is perfect as an aperitif or with foie gras. It may be kept for between 5 and 6 years. Our Sweet Gros Manseng is only produced during exceptional harvests. It is a very elegant wine that may be kept for between 10 to 15 years. The 2003 vintage received a Silver medal at the 'Concours Général Agricole' held in Paris, in 2004, and was elected 'Cépage d'Or' in the same year. The "Gros Manseng matured in oak casks" is a powerful wine with vanilla aromas, which develop over time. It is a vin de garde (wine for ageing), but which may also be drunk young with blue-veined cheese or spicy cuisine.
