Domaine Testut

Domaine Testut

Since 1998, Cyril Testut has presided over the family estate, which was established by his father Philippe Testut in 1967. Domaine Testut vines are on average over 40 years old with the Premier Cru and Grand Cru being over 50 years in age. Most of the holdings come from the Massale selection, which allows the estate to perfectly control its production. The highly developed root system of the Domaine Testut vines draws deep into the rich mineral iodine soil that underpins the unique quality of Chablis wines. 80% of Testut AOC Chablis are produced on the Right Bank of the Serein, between the Premier Cru Montée de Tonnerre and the Grand Cru Blanchots, one of the more mineral-present sections of the vineyard. Testut vines are subject to the ideal exposure for obtaining a perfect balance between maturity and minerality. All Premier Cru, as well as most of the Chablis Domaine and Grand Crus are harvested manually.
