Wine Information
Pleasant aromatic freshness with notes of white peach and pear.  A rich and complex wine, very well-balanced on the palate.  Strongly mineral soil gives this wine a very long finish in the mouth.

Variety: Chardonnay
Vine Age: Planted in approx. 1955
Terroir: Facing south/southwest, 230-280-meters elevation. 5%- 20% slope. Bathonian and Bajocian era limestone bedrock.
Viticulture: Organic (not certified)
Vinification: Direct pressing, light settling of must. Alcoholic fermentation in barrel: 15% new, 25% one year old, 25% two years old, 25% three years old, and 10% four years old. Aged for 12 months in barrel, 3 months in tank.

 

Plantation density is 8,000 vine stocks per hectare. Guyot pruning and de-budding to restrict yields. Soils are plowed as needed and harvest is exclusively by hand.
