Eyrie Vineyards Pinot Meunier
Wine Information
Pinot Meunier comes from vines planted by David Lett. According to his son Jason, he might have been entertaining the notion of making sparkling wine back in the 1960s. It has an attractive bouquet with red cherries, strawberry and a light sea-spray element. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly earthy entry, satisfying red berry fruit mixed with a pinch of white pepper, leading to a structured and focused finish that does this relatively unorthodox Oregon grape variety proud. Worth seeking out for those wanting to conduct a blind "guess the grape variety" dinner, but still insist upon a wine that is also quite delicious to drink." --WA
