2010 Lirac Rose
GRAPE VARIETALS : 30% Cinsault, 30% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre
TERROIR This wine comes from a parcel situated on the hill flanking Saint-Laurent des Arbres (Gard). This parcel is north facing and the most wind-exposed.
The soils are mostly clay-sand, mixed with layers of galets (round, smooth rocks), deposited from glacial moraines, alternating with limestone more deeply.
The vines are 30 years old. They are separated by a thick section of forest which provides a natural barrier from the exterior.
BIO-dynamic growing methods.
YIELDS –Harvest Yields are about 30hl/ha. Manual harvest the 14th of September 2010 at an optimal phenolic maturity.
VINIFICATION AND ELEVAGE (maturing of wine) Indigenous yeasts are selected from the bottom of the tank.
The juices are bled after a 10 hour fermentation of the skins. The élevage (maturing of wine) takes place on delicate sediments in cement vat. Stirring throughout. 3 months. Alc. voL . 13.5%
