These vines were owned by Nicolas' grandparents. Some went to his uncle and some to his father, but he was able to acquire both portions.

Size: 0.355 ha (0.877 ac)
Variety: Pinot Noir
Vine Age: Planted in the 1980s and 1940s
Terroir: Just below Taillepieds and next to Chenevret, lots of small stones (cailloux) at surface, clay and chalk below
Viticulture: Lutte raisonnée (organic and biodynamic methods)
Vinification: 100% de-stemmed, 10 to 15 days cold (14°C) soak, 1 week indigenous yeast alcoholic fermentation. 18 months aging in barrel (20% new), 1 racking, unfined, unfiltered.
